The season generally runs from April to October. May and September are ideal for pleasant weather and fewer crowds. July and August are perfect for swimming and boating but can be busier.

Yes, you can swim in Lake Como! While it has steeper shores than Maggiore, there are excellent public lidos (beach clubs with pools and lake access) in Bellagio, Menaggio, Cernobbio, and Lenno. There are also small pebble beaches, particularly in the northern part of the lake.
