Villa Bernardino - San Bernardino Verbano, Lago Maggiore - Casa vacanza

Lovely quiet area, very steep driveway should be mentioned. Great pool and view across lake. Great view from lounge. Some kitchen items could be upgraded, air conditioning did not work well so top floor could not be used. This needs to be highlighted! More portable fans needed or air conditioning installed.

Alles super

An attractive villa in a good location with good views. However, access is difficult as the road/drive is very steep with loose unmade sections. Exit from the parking area on to the road/drive is particularly difficult due to the steepness and required several attempts on each occasion. The pool area is good and well maintained but the hammock frame is rotted and unusable and the table tennis table net held on with clothes pegs with bats which are unusable. The gas BBQ was unstable and need cleaning before use. The base was covered in thick grease and grass cuttings. The furnishings within the villa need an upgrade. The sofas are uncomfortable and the worn upholstery covered with loose covers which are untidy and faded; curtains are flimsy; beds are uncomfortable; and no hanging space provided in the master bedroom other than an unstable, free-standing clothes rail. The fridge was not cleaned; had missing shelves; and the salad bin was cracked with missing sections. There were insufficient cups for even 4 adults and the bottle opener was broken, so we had to buy 4 mugs and a bottle opener! The microwave had a missing control button and the rubbish bin lid broken. Northitally Villas were efficient. However, whilst their local contact person was pleasant and friendly, she spoke so little english that communication was difficult and no written instructions for equipment provided.

We loved fhe villa, pool and view. However furniture, very old and uncomfortable. Table cloths and kitchen sticky. Frying pans damaged to old

Really great! Thanks!

Wonderful location, remote and still close to everything one might need. Large pool to enjoy extensively. In the middle of nature, invitating to discover the Lago Maggiore national parks. North Italy Villas were very nice and always communicating pro-actively, making this holiday stay easy and enjoyable.

Inrichting is zeer gedateerd.

Great location, magnificent views over Lago Maggiore, the pool is excellent, you can stay an entire day at the Villa and do nothing. the kitchen is a bit basic for cooking and inside is a bit less elegant. Also there was some dust under the bed and wardrobes. The main disadvantage is there are no blinds or shutters in any of the bedrooms and in summer it gets hot during the day and bright at 6 o'clock in the morning.

Alles top!

Villa not the easiest to find and could do with updating inside. Very basic / old furniture, beds and kitchen crockery, utensils etc. Given what we paid, expected better quality. Great pool though and amazing views across the lake. Stunning location.

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche vor Ort.

"Schönes Haus sehr guter Pool, Ausstattung teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Einfache Kommunikation."

“Fabulous location and outside space. Hosts were very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. A great place to stay to just wind down and relax”

Toller Pool, unglaubliche Aussicht, schönes Haus - was will man mehr?

"Wunderbare Lage, toller Pool, toller Blick, schönes Haus.

" Very nice, cosy and clean house, fantastic views, lovely surroundings, great pool and last but not least great host!!"

"Great location and views. Pool a little tricky for family with kids as it is >2m deep everywhere. Very nice reception and maintenance. The kitchen utensils are a little basic for a place in that price range. We had a wonderful time. Raffaella and Aldo took excellent care and were always reachable. Thank you."

"1. The accommodation: Wonderfully situated, pool beds on the ground floor, very nice pool, more and better parasols at poolside would have been nice, very nice 1st floor bedroom, very difficult to maneuver your car when parking next to the house, more space needed. 2. Accommodation rating (from 0 to 10): 8 3. The region: Lovely 4. Booking process and local management: Somewhat winded process to book online, but nice staff persons at the other end."

"Thank you for your e-mail. We absolutely loved our stay on Lago Maggiore! Please see our responses to your questions: 1. The accommodation: Accommodations were very good. Our family of 7 had plenty of space. Everything was very clean, including the pool. The pool was cleaned often. 2. Accommodation rating (from 0 to 10): 8 3. The region: Loved it, loved it, loved it. Would come back without a doubt! 4. Booking process and local management: Very easy. We loved our house owners who were very helpful every time we had a question. "
